CONTINUOUS CASTING – OXYGEN-FREE COPPER (OUTOKUMPU – OXYGEN-FREE)

Electrolytic copper is the most commonly used material in order to transmit electricity and signal that are the most basic and indispensable needs of the modern world. The OXYGEN-FREE COPPER WIRE RODS that are the mainly input raw material of the plants producing copper conductive are produced fastidiously by our workers who have become integrated with their work at OZEL BAKIR Outokumpu vertical casting plants.

DRAWING COARSE WIRE

The electrolytic copper that is made as oxygen-free wire rod in diameter of 8,00 mm produced in our Outokumpu vertical casting plants, arrives at the wire drawing plant having the advanced technologies in order to take its final form. The wire rod is produced at the coarse wire drawing machines in various diameters either as annealed or as hard copper wire. These coarse wires of which diameters change between 1,00 mm and 3,00 mm are not only used as inlet wire at our other units but are also submitted directly to our customers by being packed in the steel and cartoon baskets or in the steel reels.

PRODUCTION OF MULTI WIRE COPPER WIRE

The bare and tin coated wires produced at multi wire machine line, can both become inlet wire to our stranded copper wire unit and in the same time, they can be submitted directly to our customers by being packed on the steel reels.

PRODUCTION OF STRANDED COPPER WIRE

The wires produced at our multi-wire machines are submitted to our customers by being packed on the steel reels by our strand machines as normal strand, unilay concentrate strand, rope strand according to the customer request in conformity with the desired standards and methods.

PRODUCTION OF THIN COPPER WIRE

Our production capacity of thin wire has been increased along with the investments of thin wire group that we have made recently in direction of the customer requests. The wires produced at this group are wound to the plastic reels and presented to our customers after being wrapped with nylon and put on the pallets.

PRODUCTION OF TINNED COPPER WIRE

The process of tin coating at this unit is carried out by the electrolytic method. The tin coated wires can both be offered to our customers directly, and they can also be used as inlet wire at our middle wire drawing and multi wire machines. The tinned copper wire produced at the middle wire drawing and multi wire drawing machines can not only be offered directly to our customers but also our middle wire units to our thin wire unit and our multi-wire units to our strand unit can be inlet wire.
